Chaz Aramis Blackwood was born on April 1st 1987 in San Francisco CA, USA to an American mother and a British father. Right before he had his first birthday he was whisked across the world to live in Manchester England and didn't make it back to the states until 2006. While living all over England Chaz learned about the world around him, and knew that he would eventually make it back to the US.
Chaz began his comedy career when he was about 16 working in an improv street performance comedy troupe that called themselves "The Mani Pedis" (The Manchester Pedestrian Players). He then decided (after much failure as an improv troupe) that maybe going solo would be the best way for him to go, and he was right.
From performing in clubs and theaters all over the world, to being heard and seen on many radio and television shows in England and America, Chaz has come a long way since performing in tiny coffee shops and the streets throughout the UK.
With Chaz's energetic and witty humor he takes audiences worldwide to places they never thought they could have gone. His comedic timing and audience play is priceless and he leaves audience members in tears of joy every time he steps on stage.
From telling jokes of his journey coming to the United States and comparing the US to the UK, to jokes of his crazy family life, Chaz has jokes and a show that anyone truly can enjoy. With his amusing accent and take on the english language Chaz is sure to entertain any audience.
Chaz has done commercials for Dorito's and Cheez-its and many others, and has been involved in many full scale and independent films. Chaz is currently filming and starring in 2 full feature productions. The first one is called "The Call Center", which is a Fat Boy Special Film and a Hominy Grits Production. "The Call Center" is projected for release in the spring of 2013. The second film is called "The Fractured State" and is projected for release in the fall of 2013.
Although Chaz spent most of his life in London UK, and has lived all over England he is no stranger to the United States. He has lived in the US for over 5 years and in that time has resided in Manhattan, New York; Dallas, Texas; San Francisco, California, and currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
Chaz is at this point working on a comedy documentary called "One Hour A Month" and is currently putting the pieces together for it. He is also filming "The Call Center" and "The Fractured State" now, and is piloting a reality show for Sky 1 called, "Across The Pond". Needless to say Chaz is very busy, and is sure to be a household name in the very near future. So keep your eyes peeled as I'm sure you'll see much more of Chaz Blackwood to come.
